You help realise the delivery of the ABN AMRO strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. You ensure that the entire bank follows the correct route towards a fully data driven organisation. From shaping new concepts to designing and guiding data management initiatives. You are able to quickly submerge yourself in a brand-new initiative, shape, socialise and ensure it is properly anchored for successful execution. 

Your job

As an Office business consultant, you deliver support and champion projects that enable the different departments to better fulfil their goals. You are a central point of communication that guides different projects aimed at enabling the capacities of the employees within CDO. Your job varies from day to day based on the needs of our departments.

  • Contribute to the CDO People development and engagement strategy
  • Support and improve the Grid processes
  • Connecting the dots within CDO, signal improvement opportunities, play a key role in cultural change
  • Offer support tasks aimed at informing, clarifying and instructing other employees
  • Initiate and support a one way of working across CDO and the grids
  • Design and improve processes that support a uniform agile way of working
  • Come up with and execute new initiatives aimed at the enablement of employees within their respective teams and our broader department

Working environment

As Business Consultant, you become part of the Office Team that is responsible for giving support and oversight in the execution of the Data Strategy of ABN AMRO which is one of the big themes of our ‘one bank’ change portfolio. In this diverse and inclusive team of professionals you will work actively on a large variety of projects where flexibility and adaptability is key. We do so in an open and transparent way of working where your opinion is valued and dialogue is encouraged. The team is diverse with regards to culture, experience and age. The atmosphere is lively and informal, closely monitoring a safe environment where everyone is able to share their thoughts, feelings and worries. In your day-to-day work you will play a key role in ensuring that the existing themes run smoothly by giving support to those that need it. Next to your day-to-day work, there is room to design, create and implement new ideas and processes especially when you are the one who is suggesting the change for the better!

The team that you become a part of is in constant collaboration with all business lines and stakeholders within CDO, forging alliances and championing projects that improve and benefit our entire department. We all work together at the frontier of the largest data revolution in the banking industry dealing with the core value-assets of the department, the employees. 

Your profile

You are a connector, a do-er, someone who is not afraid to take ownership and by doing so reflect the cultural principles of courage, care and collaboration. You are also eager to learn, proactively approach others, willing to challenge the status quo, ask questions and build alliances. Variety in your day-to-day tasks gives you energy and you are able to deal with ambiguity by creating clarity and managing your own time. You thrive in autonomy and love to work together with others to make sustainable change and offer support, thereby enabling the workforce to bring out their capabilities. You know how to handle conversations on various management levels, are a patient individual and know what information you should present and in what format depending on the stakeholder groups you are dealing with.

  • University or HBO degree
  • Experience in communication, project support and project management
  • Proven skills for process improvement, organization, people management
  • Experience and proficiency with various MS Office and IT tools such as; Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Jira or willingness to learn
  • Affinity with data, digitalization, innovation, people development and communication
  • Both Dutch and English are fluent
