This team is responsible for CR RWA Implementation and CR Data Management for the new changes to the prudential framework. The vacant positions offer opportunities to develop yourself as a well-rounded credit risk implementation expert in the heart of the Bank with a special focus on the CRD/CRR framework.

As a Credit Risk implementation analyst you will support the Capital and Control chain of the Bank in regulatory and strategic implementation, monitoring and coordinating prudential regulatory change topics. The activities are of a strategic and ad-hoc nature, in the sense that the impact of a new or changed regulations in Credit risk capital calculations is analysed to find the  impact from such changes and the best possible place for its implementation. In addition the architecture landscape of the bank and the strategic choices of the bank are considered in making implementation solutions. This is done in collaboration with the several regulatory and change experts. In your discussions with policy experts, the business teams and the IT implementation teams, you will have to find a balance between several interest in the bank that relate to the specific regulatory topics you are working on. By nature these requirements are complex and require in-depth analysis together with experts of the different teams. When necessary you also act as a project lead/coordinator to ensure that delivery is well coordinated in the chain. The activity of the team relies on strong knowledge of the CRD/CRR/CoRep/FinRep and other areas of related regulation, in particular from the perspective of implementing these changes.

Your job

With everything you do, the focus is on serving the interests of our internal and external stakeholders. We optimise within the framework provided by Legislation and ABN AMRO’s Strategy. Within Finance and Risk this implies implementing Regulatory prescribed Financial and Risk Reporting in the best way possible, improving the (data) architecture, and data quality. Also, we contribute to realise the future Finance and Risk landscape so that we continuously improve the speed with which we can respond to requests from our Business stakeholders and Regulators. It is a widely defined role. Dependent on your specific assignment, your role can vary between generic coordinating and in-depth specialisation. As a Business Developer, you are concerned with the consultancy questions around data, data models, the reports and IT processes. You innovate, advise, improve, train, trouble-shoot, and implement. Together with your team, you are the experts on data requirements for Finance & Risk Reporting. You reach your objectives by bringing your specialty and pursuing active cooperation with professionals from business and IT. Your autonomous way of working in an Agile environment is key to your success. Specific details of how your work will look are:

  • Analyse regulatory requirements (CRD/CRR), policies and standards. Define implementation solution and requirements based on this analysis;
  • Lead solution designing of complex changes that cut across the value chain, working together with solution design specialists in multiple fields in the value chain
  • Being document owner of some implementation documents delivered meaning, handling feedback, amending documents following new or updates policy's or regulations, SPoC for the document, liaison with implementation colleagues (business, credit risk type owner and IT, delivery team);
  • You are able to independently tackle, complete and disseminate parts of projects both at a high level and at a detailed level
  • Prepare and promote workshops on the requirements and solution design/ architecture with the different stakeholders within the ABN AMRO (Business Lines, Risk, Finance and IT);
  • Lead Functional testing strategy and execution for facilitating BAU acceptance of implementation in line with RWA requirements
  • Perform and analyse RWA and reporting impact for specific changes, taking stakeholders through the functional impact from the change and explaining reasons for movements and documentation of such impact assessments
  • Linking pin between design and implementation by providing guidance to questions from implementing grids and programmes

Working environment

You operate within the Finance and Risk Reporting Grid. This is a cluster of Agile teams called Value Delivery blocks. You become part of the Value Proposition Team Basel, responsible for CR RWA Implementation and CR Data Management for the new changes to the prudential framework. You sculpt the future proof solutions for Financial and Risk Reporting. The GRID consists of approx 200 colleagues, who all share the passion for continuously improving the vast set of reports created by the bank. You also contribute to the medium and long term strategy for the Finance and Risk landscape. You will have plenty of opportunity to work with colleagues outside the Reporting GRID. We help you develop yourself both professionally and as a person. The position offer opportunities to develop yourself as a well-rounded credit risk implementation expert in the heart of the Bank with a special focus on the CRD/CRR framework. Your profile

  1. Education at academic level (HBO or University).
  2. Data analysis using SQL and other relevant tooling in SAS to perform impact assessments
  3. Extensive experience with the CRD/CRR framework, for more complex discussions, you are able to reach out to regulatory expertise and credit risk experts
  4. Ability to combine data and query skills with regulatory knowledge to analyse RWA and reporting impact for specific changes and explaining reasons for movements and documentation of such impact assessments
  5. Ability to document implementation in functional terms to support communication to the regulator and relevant regulatory submissions like a material change assessment and other such documentation memos
  6. Preparing and maintaining functional and technical documents, minimum standards and related processes that link implementation with credit risk regulatory requirements
  7. Previous experience in audit, model monitoring or Credit risk RWA is a plus
  8. Supporting the process of data sourcing in line with the defined requirements and identifying gaps
  9. Experience with data management within the prudential context of a bank
  10. Knowledge of (risk) data definitions within the and (credit) risk reporting
  11. Knowledge of regulatory compliancy requirements, Basel regulations, prudential reporting and/or RWA calculation
  12. Strong in stakeholder and project management
  13. Ability to think out of the box solution and at the same time pragmatic solutions for implementation
  14. Excellent communications skills, especially in writing (fluency in English is required).
