As a Data Analyst, your behaviour sets you apart. Alongside with the technical expertise, you are able to collaborate and communicate effectively. You are comfortable to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are curious to uncover the “why” behind every question. Your self-starting attitude allows you to embrace ambiguity and to think big while paying careful attention to details. In challenging situations you are reliable, dedicated and able to think in solutions.

As a Data Analyst in our team you will be the primary contact with our stakeholders, which are mostly consumers of the data in the data lakehouse. You guide consumers to use the data, validate new requirements of the business stakeholders and guide the IT implementation of new initiatives. The Data Analyst represents customer and end-user concerns by gathering input from stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved. You may also help to identify potential areas of automation and support or advise the business in re-engineering the underlying business process. Additionally, also guide data engineers from the agile devops team by translating business requirements to technical requirements together with the data modeler.

Some examples of your responsibilities

• You will take complete responsibility for data elements for their end-to-end usage across the enterprise
• You will work closely with the Product Owner and help to set the right priorities
• Work with and include a network of people with accountabilities for ensuring that all aspects of an effective data environment are being accomplished
• You will work on global and cross functional change projects to improve our processes and systems
• Driving continuous improvement of our business and IT processes by applying data analytics
• Communicating your findings to stakeholders and proposing recommended actions
• Finding new and innovative ways to analyse data together with your team

Werkomgeving

The team consists of Data Management Experts, Data Architect, Data Engineers and Power BI experts. In total approximately 12 FTE report to one manager. The team primarily services MT I&T and underlying departments like Data Management, Strategy Execution Office, P&T, Procurement and the CIO's, but also participates in multiple bank wide projects.

The team consists of talented data professionals that collaborate in projects and programs based on the capabilities that are required. We fully support the development of our colleagues and facilitate opportunities that support this development. Autonomy and flexibility are two of many characteristics of the team. We are normally situated at the Zuidas in Amsterdam, but of course nowadays we are fully into Hybrid Working.

Je profiel

You are an analytical thinker, a do-er, whose behaviour reflects the culture principles of courage, care and collaboration. Very important is that you are able to translate business challenges to data solutions, like a true Data Evangelist.

You have a passion for data and its visualization capabilities using Power BI and use this to gain valuable insights from data! You are able to see relationships and are able to translate these to new insights while maintaining a clear overview. Working with others inspires you to come up with new ideas and you are excited to share your insights with multiple stakeholders and data specialists!

This is on your resume:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Consultancy experience and/or mindset, you’re asking the right questions in order to provide the insights needed to improve our business
• Up-to-date on new data analysis methods
• Knowledge and experience of BI tools like PowerBI
• Knowledge and experience in Python and DAX
• Preferable experience of storytelling
• Preferable Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Fluent in English
