As an Data Architect at Asset Based Finance (ABF) you translate the strategic vision of ABF to different scenario's and then into an architecture that guides change for the entire organisation. Your architecture functions as a reference and the so called dot on the horizon, guiding a data management capability to a better execution of the ABF strategy in close alignment with the strategy of the bank . You are a highly skilled professional, a visionary and a strategist in your area. A person who does not only think in objects or diagrams but someone who likes to think in creative and innovative ways aiming to inspire, activate and guide the organisation. Your job

As an Data architect you play a pivotal role in the architecture development, delivery and control for Asset Based Finance. You help realise the ABF strategy. You will be using architectural models, processes, artefacts and governance while carefully balancing the requirements between our different stakeholders. Your responsibilities within the function are:

-    Fleshing out your vision regarding the Data architecture
-    Designing architectures that offer insights into the relationship between (business) processes, data, organisational structures and technology
-    Through your work activating creative and innovative solutions and possibilities which will support change
-    Presenting the architecture point of view and complex (technical) information clearly and without ambiguity to various stakeholders, including sr management.
-    Assisting our scrum teams in building the architecture governed through the standard change process: coordinate and be assertive when it comes to solving dependencies or complex problems.
 

Working environment

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance N.V. (ABF) is a subsidiary of ABN AMRO bank. Software development within ABF for all applications that support the processes surrounding our products takes place at Software Engineering. The architecture function is part of Software Engineering and is responsible for a solid architecture vision and design, to be defined in close cooperation with our business stakeholders. The architecture team provides guidance & support to the scrum teams. We currently have 14 scrum teams working on improving and maintaining various applications. 

You will work closely together with the IT engineering lead, your colleague architects, product owners, business analysts and the development teams. 

Your profile

You are an architect who is confident in your vision and can co-develop it within your stakeholder environment. A pragmatic and realistic individual who is able to set a vision and inspire everyone to follow. You love connecting dots and painting a bigger picture. You work well in teams and are able to communicate and present your point of view clearly to stakeholders while working together with them to solve complex problems. Your experience in working in a dynamic environment allows you to oversee complex landscapes where different interests intertwine. Additionally, you have:

-   HBO/ WO education;
-   Experience with architecture in a global corporation;   
-    Proven experience with implementing Data Management capabilities & Data Platform Architectures (data modelling / ETL / reporting);
-    A continuous learning mindset with a strong persistence towards completing tasks within deadlines;
-    Strong interpersonal skills with proven the ability to influence, engage and align people in cross-functional roles at all levels;
-    Knowledge and experience in the Financial Industry / Banking sector.
