It will be your responsibility to lead, develop and mentor the team of Quality Control/Assurance, Transaction Monitoring and CDD analysts for the Mid European region. 

Join our fast-paced and global organization as Manager Onboarding & KYC MER in Amsterdam. You will lead the Onboarding KYC activities for Amsterdam, Belgium and France (Saxo MER) and work closely with the Global head of Onboarding KYC and other KYC teams. You will manage the daily KYC tasks and projects, and create and update work instructions, policies and procedures for the global Saxo Group and local MER organization.

You will be located in the Saxo Amsterdam office near RAI station. The Onboarding KYC MER team consists of a broader team of 15 and the Amsterdam office has around 250 employees. In total Saxo MER services around 350.000 clients

Saxo MER is part of the online broker Saxo Bank A/S, a global organization that operates with subsidiaries in all parts of the world.

Responsibilities

It will be your responsibility to lead, develop and mentor the team of Quality Control/Assurance, Transaction Monitoring and CDD analysts for the Mid European region. This is to ensure that all private, corporate and institutional onboarding, CDD, ODD, EDR and transaction monitoring files are handled efficiently with high quality.

Part of your role will be to collaborate with key stakeholders within the different departments such as the global KYC Framework team, commercial teams, compliance and with offices such as Belgium, France, India and Denmark. By working within the global Saxo organization you will be responsible for finding ways to improve global and local KYC related processes and procedures.

As Manager of the Onboarding KYC MER team you will be responsible for providing training to local KYC teams, and also cross-border training to staff located in India. Additionally, you will provide expert advice and solutions to (complex) KYC/AML related matters and provide constructive feedback on how to improve.

You will maintain and develop the risk and control framework, key performance indicators and ensure compliancy with the applicable regulations (e.g. Wwft). It is your responsibility to present this information to formal local/global committees and towards the regulators located in Netherlands, France and Belgium.

Your profile

  • You are based in the Netherlands
  • You have hands-on experience with onboarding European private and corporate clients.
  • You have at least 3 years of managerial experience
  • You have a strong knowledge of the local and European AML and KYC regulations.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Dutch OR solid experience dealing with Dutch regulators within the Dutch mark
  • You are a good team player, communicator and able to cooperate within different projects
  • You have a positive attitude and are able to work under pressure.
  • You have a flexible mindset because you are aware that the KYC landscape is continuously changing
