Procurement professional Information Technology (IT)

What you are going to do

In this role, you will truly experience what change is. NN Group is a company in transition, the Procurement department continuously improves, and at the same time, you face the challenge of securing good deals with suppliers for our IT procurement category: related to infra/cloud (public, private), middleware solutions or IT4IT and a wide range of end point applications (mostly SaaS) in our various business lines or head office functions. You will interact intensively with a wide range of stakeholders in the various business units, where they will see you as a ‘trusted advisor’ based on your experience and market knowledge.

You are responsible for the entire strategic and tactical sourcing process:

• Initiate procurement projects together with your stakeholders
• Develop sourcing strategies based on market, supplier and internal data analysis
• Implement sourcing strategies (make, buy or ally)
• Prepare and Manage RFx’s (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for proper selection
• Negotiate and contract suppliers
• Play a crucial role by having understanding of IT market trends connecting these to NN’s long-term business goals (e.g. sustainability, data and AI, growth)

Who you are

With your strong negotiation skills, you achieve the best possible deals. You listen well and gather all possible information to come to the best sourcing strategy and execution. You can create domain (subcategory) plans in collaboration with your stakeholders and create buy-in with the business for smooth execution.

You have:

• A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree and analytical skills
• A minimum of 3- 5 years IT procurement experience
• Negotiation skills to deliver complex deals
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and disciplines
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset and can adapt quickly to changing circumstances

Who you will work with

The Procurement department operates at a high level of professionalism, continuously adds significant value to NN Group by achieving excellent procurement results, and at the same time has one of the highest engagement scores within NN. You will have 30 motivated, professional, and pleasant departmental colleagues with whom you can share knowledge and experiences, and with whom you can also relax during informal gatherings. In the IT team you work with 10 motivated IT Procurement colleagues that together with the Int’l team cover the full Technology stack with NN Group.   

On a daily basis you will work together with a variety of business stakeholders, depending on your procurement domain and projects at that time, but also with other staff departments like Legal and HR.
