Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM) is a unit within Rabobank of approximately 90 FTE with a global procurement responsibility. The department contributes to a strong cooperative bank by delivering the services Strategic category management, Sourcing & contracting, Supply risk management, Supplier- and contract life cycle management, Requisition-to-Pay and Data & analytics.
PVM Global Services (GS) is responsible for supporting all the services with automation and for delivering the services Requisition-to-Pay and Data & Analytics. Next to that, Global Services provides procurement knowledge through the intranet ‘Procurement Portal’ and supports the PVM department with a Project Management team to run strategic projects. The project management team consists of in total 4 project managers and 1 project management officer.
Get Results:
- Initiating and Leading Projects or Programs: As the responsible Project Manager, you play a crucial role in setting up, leading, and executing projects or programs. Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Clear Communication and Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain clear and continuous communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Regular updates, status reports, and transparent discussions help keep everyone informed and aligned.
- Managing Dependencies Across Projects: Oversee dependencies between your project and other projects, both within and outside Procurement & Vendor Management (PVM). Coordinate timelines, resource allocation, and inter-project relationships for smooth execution.

- Contributing to Project Realization: Actively participate in project activities to achieve successful outcomes. Whether performing tasks directly or coordinating activities, drive progress toward project goals.
- Data Collection, Analysis, and Informed Decision-Making: Independently gather and process information, analyzing data to form well-informed judgments. Assess risks, opportunities, and trade-offs to influence project decisions.
- Logical Reporting to Management: Create logical narratives that convey project content and progress to management. Reports provide insights, highlight achievements, and address challenges.

You and your talent
You are customer-focused, results-oriented, driven, and a team player. These qualities make you an excellent Project Manager, especially when combined with:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with at least 10 years of project management experience.
- You have a solid track record in project management within a complex international environment.
- Proven knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- You are a true team player and have a natural ability to achieve good results within a team.
- You possess strong organizational sensitivity and can weigh stakeholder interests in your decision-making.
- You are conceptually and analytically strong.
- Experience in procurement and vendor management transformation is a plus.
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
